The JOLT began publishing in May 2020 to bring more local news coverage back to Thurston County. Every weekday, we reach more than 6,000 local residents on their phones or computers with new local news and feature stories.

Our staff of reporters, news contributors and columnists produce 20-30 original stories each week. We also publish the opinions of local community members.

The Flower & Vine is a boutique floral business, operating at The Evergreen Valley Lavender Farm in Olympia, WA. Designer, Genevieve Ruth, incorporates much of the family's (organic, sustainable) live and dried lavender into her unique pieces, is part of the "Slow Flower Movement", and favors locally-sourced, USA-grown botanicals. Every custom arrangement uses as many in-season blooms as possible, to smell better, look fresher; support other small, local growers.. and make you say, "Wow!"

Maks Snack Shack is a baking company located in Olympia. We supply a lot of large local companies, weddings and event catering. Specializes in realistic and custom cakes.
