{"id":1054,"date":"2015-01-30T15:01:20","date_gmt":"2015-01-30T23:01:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/thurstongreenbusiness.com\/?p=1054"},"modified":"2016-02-29T15:41:22","modified_gmt":"2016-02-29T23:41:22","slug":"thurston-energy-launches-new-energy-efficiency-rebate-offer-for-5-county-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/thurstongreenbusiness.com\/thurston-energy-launches-new-energy-efficiency-rebate-offer-for-5-county-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Thurston Energy launches new energy efficiency rebate offer for 5-county region"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>ColdCa$h for POW&amp;R to benefit propane, oil &amp; wood-heated homes, plus rentals in Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Lewis &amp; Pacific<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>January 9, 2015 \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.thurstonenergy.org\/\">Thurston Energy<\/a>\u00a0has recently launched a new weatherization rebate,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/thurstonenergy.org\/rebates\/cold-cash-for-powr\/\">ColdCa$h for POW&amp;R<\/a>.\u00a0 Designed specifically for homes that are heated with propane, oil or wood, and\/or are rental homes, this rebate can help property owners save on the cost of weatherization projects, and the purchase and installation of ductless heat pump systems.<\/p>\n<p>In order to be eligible for this rebate, homes must be located in\u00a0<strong>Thurston, Grays Harbor, Mason, Lewis or Pacific<\/strong>\u00a0counties and be primarily heated by\u00a0<strong>Propane<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Oil<\/strong>, or\u00a0<strong>Wood<\/strong>, AND\/OR be a\u00a0<strong>Rental.\u00a0<\/strong>Two rebates are included in this promotion:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>REBATE 1:\u00a0 Weatherization:<\/strong>Rebate of 40% of price paid for weatherization improvement services (and materials), up to a maximum rebate amount of $2000.\u00a0 Qualifying measures to increase building envelope performance include Air Sealing; Insulation (attics, walls, floors, ducts); Electrical wiring upgrades associated with insulation measures; Whole house ventilation; and Duct sealing.<\/li>\n<li><strong>REBATE 2:\u00a0 Ductless Heat Pump:<\/strong>Rebates for the purchase and installation of a Single-Head Ductless Heat Pump (DHP) System, with a limit of one rebate per house. Homes heated with propane, fuel oil or wood are eligible for a $1500 rebate, and rental homes heated with electricity are eligible for a $1500 rebate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Customers should contact Thurston Energy (360-528-2112) prior to making improvements in order to make arrangements for an initial energy evaluation, to connect with a pre-approved contractor, and to assure that the project scope of work qualifies for rebates.<\/p>\n<p>Weatherization improvements must be completed between January 1, 2015 and May 31, 2015, and funds are available for a limited time only.
